Beskrivelse av boka
I remember my grandmother Erna very well and not least, her cooking. The strongest food memories of her were that she “always” had food in the house and no matter who came to visit, it was impossible to leave her without having received any food, either at her dining table or placed in your hand on the way out the door.
Food and traditions belong together. Food is tradition, they say. Who hasn’t sat at the kitchen table in their childhood home and watched their mother cook? A skill which she and women for generations before her have likely learned from their own mothers in a similar fashion.
When my grandmother Erna passed away, at the remarkable age of 98 years, I was fortunate to inherit her old recipe book, including her box of old and new notes featuring recipes from friends and family, near and far. This patchwork of hundreds of small recipes has been created and collected over generations and form the basis of this book.
